We were 5 of us, started the Journey at 1:20am from Bangalore by an Innova.
Reached the border check post around 6am.
Then towards Ooty, a small stopover at the Paikara Lake. It was quite a shivering place in the drizzle. But we braved our way to the Paikara Lake. Most annoying part was that a local guy demanded us of five bucks as entry fees. Felt like kinking that bugger!!! Grr..
We had another stop for breakfast at Ooty, followed by boating at the famous Ooty Lake. It was fun understanding the engineering behind the paddling the direction of the boat for 20minutes; and then actually paddling the boat for ten minutes. Silly us!!! :P
And
now we were so tired due to over night journey, and hence needed some
rest. Hence we started for Coonoor, where our Guest House was booked.
"Runymede Guest House" it was such a beautiful guest house amidst tea
gardens, that it soothed our eyes with its surrounding greenery. The
Guest House comprised of three separate rooms. which were all empty. We
occupied only a couple of rooms and due to no other visitors, we kind of
donned around in the entire Guest House.
That's a beautiful view of the Runemede Guest House, isn't it?
Sharing few more sight seeing snaps of the trip below
Some beautiful flowers at the Guest House
Then we started on our sight seeing. We reached the first spot "Dolphin Nose", though I did not recognize the shape of the hill to be a dolphin nose's shape
We had a good night and sound sleep. Next day was bright and sunny. Few shots in and around the Guest House, and rest of the day following which we headed our return back to Bangalore
Finally a group photo!
